By Stefan Lindholm

I want to share some great illy coffee photos I came across on flickr.com It's one of the iconic coffee brands in the world.

It's great to see how people put their love brands in their lives. I think this is why we all love about branding & packaging!

Higgidy Pies

"Camilla Stephens is passionate about pies. She makes really yummy hand-made pies with high-quality ingredients. Uncommon pies, in fact. We loved her pies too and saw the opportunity to open up a market appealing less to your hungry man in a van and more to a discerning female audience. 'Too nice for the price' someone called them - probably with a big mouthful of pie..."

Ampro Wine

"Our gift for our clients is a bottle of wine. The concept was to make the wine bottle our female messenger that sends the client our best wishes and also to make the cilent smile. The solution for the funny part of the gift was to make the label go down to see what's behind: Everybody is sure to see some breast, but, instead of breasts they find two new born baby. The title of this work is HOt HOt HOt(instead of Santa's HO HO HO)"

New Pepsi Raw

"Pepsi Raw is PepsiCo's biggest innovation for 20 years. No pressure, then... in order to appeal to an adult, sophisticated, urban market interested in a premium and more natural product, we produced a pared-back, elemental identity for 'the naked cola'."

&Co

"&Co represents simplicity – of purpose, provenance and production. The winery produces a single exceptional estate wine each season. To emphasise this we've pared the identity back to a black and white palette. We've made a feature of the type, letting it 'speak' to the customer. &Co breaks convention with more traditional looking wine brands, topped off with the uniquely cool closure of a crown seal, we're not at all upset that once opened we have to drink the whole bottle."

"Serbian food company Foodland manufactured an excellent new product within its famous brand “Bakina Tajna” (Granny’s Secret) - home made country ketchup. Foodland’s production plant is situated at the foot of mountain Kopaonik, in a nearby and ecologically clean, uncontaminated environment of BRUS municipality, village Kobilje. PGS designed the label for ketchup. It is the first in the line of designed products and it announced the re-branding of Granny’s Secret old packaging design, which shall soon be replaced by the new one."

One Village Coffee Bag

"One Village Coffee was found about 3 years ago with the goal directing for profit monetary goals to nonprofit partners to a small village in Nigeria. Since then they have helped organizations around the world on various levels of development work including a de-worming project for children in Honduras and educational development in several parts of Nigeria.

Over the past 9 months we have spent a lot of time with the employees, roaster, and fans of One Village Coffee. One of our goals was to package the sentiments of "a village" into a customer experience. The bag was printed in white + two colors with a matte finish and gloss trapping over the logo. Because the budget didn't allow for more than one type of bag, a different label with a customized icon is used to identify each type of coffee.

Our hope is that the bag provides multiple touch points for customers who want to learn more about the company and get more involved. We are currently working on manifesting the "village" experience online, on university campuses, in grocery stores, and farmer's markets. "

Caravan

"London calling... Identity design for new London Roastery, Bar & Restaurant — Caravan. They roast their own coffee on site, the food is universal, inspired by the flavours of the world — and it’s all cooked by Miles Kirby, former Head Chef of The Providores. Caravan is contemporary with a nod to the values of a hand-made artisan history. Black thermo ink on a lush matt stock makes for a trailer full of happiness."

My Sushi

"The concept was to create a japanese look for the product. The solution was to use a red round
shape (as in the japanese flag), alot of white and a light bamboo pattern in the background.
In the brand logo we rotate the "my" from My sushi in order to look like a japanese character."

Kjaer Weis Makeup

"The design of the Kjaer Weis cosmetics line distills the fundamentals of women’s makeup to its three essential areas of application: lips, cheeks and eyes.

The compacts are shaped to mirror the features they will be used to enhance: slim and long for the lips, large and square for the cheeks, small and round for the eyes. Aesthetically, the Kjaer Weis line fuses an understated and timeless classicism with the crisp minimal lines of modern jewelry.

Tangibly, the compacts swivel open with an innovative lateral movement, fanning out like the wings of a butterfly.

Entirely refillable, these compacts are purposely conserved rather than recycled.

Cast in white bronze metal, monogrammed in glossy white enamel, and encased in a red textured box, each object conveys the substance and heft of a valuable keepsake."

Jacqueline Evans

"The Jacqueline Evans story began in 1999 when Jacqueline first created customised skin care for a select group of clients when she worked as a naturopath in the United Kingdom. Since then, years of meticulous research have gone into product formulations. Products are based on the function of the ingredients and only the purest and highest grade natural and organic ingredients are used, including cold pressed oils, the best essential oils and beneficial levels of vitamins, minerals and herbals resulting in some of the most effective products in the world.

The amber glass used for all the packaging not only preserves the integrity of the contents better, it compliments the restrained typography and bold colour differentiation of the labels. The honesty and quality of this product is clearly communicated through a sense of nostalgia-induced trust. They just happen to look great all together on your bathroom shelf too!"
